Dr. Nair just treated me earlier today. It was a perfect visit! He spent plenty of time with me to diagnose my issue. He knew I was leaving on an important trip in a couple of days so he stayed late to treat me during this visit. He explained every step as he was doing it. His staff was great too. They were very sweet and the doctor and his staff worked hard to relax me. Afterwards Dr. Nair chatted with me about non medical things and he even held my hand to make sure I was going to be steady on my feet. I can’t say enough about this doctor and staff!
I meet the crew a lil over two months ago, when being assessed I felt completely comfortable, had my first epidural with no sedation last week & im in love! First time being pain free in years, my back felt so good finally! Huge thanks to the office staff

Dr Nair has been my doctor since 2003 and I would not go anyplace else. I traveled from Powell County to Kentuckiana Pain Specialists until 2012 when I moved to Lexington. His professionalism, expertise and wonderful staff keeps me coming back again and again.
As a retired nurse, I can truly say I trust Dr. Nair with my care. He is gentle, very knowledgeable, and never rushes you out of the room. I had an epidural injection for my sciatica yesterday and we did it without IV sedation because he explained every step and kept me calm. I felt so much better that same night. Amazing job. Thank you.

From my first meeting with Dr. Nair, I was treated with respect, listened to, and involved in the process of developing a plan for my treatment. Have been seeing dr nair for a few months now and have enjoyed the staff as well as the doctor. I have other health issues and he and megan have been very understand and educated me on things i wasnt aware of with those issues as well as helping manage my pain
I recently left my old pain clinic (had been with them since 2017) to come to Kentuckiana Pain Specialist (Dr.Nair). It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In the short time that I have been with them I have a little less pain. Still in pain & we are working on it on a continuous basis. I was super nervous for my appointment since my previous experience with pain management wasn't the best. My appointment went amazing though, all of the staff were super nice and helpful. He actually sat and explained things better than any doctor I had seen before. He gave me great suggestions for other medical professionals to see and ways to actually mange my pain. He focused more natural ways to cope with and relieve my pain, which I loved. Everyone there was super awesome.

I have had my pain pump for over 5 years. It’s reassuring to know I don’t have to worry about taking pills every 4-6 hours and the bad side effects that they can have. I have always been able to get a speedy appointment whenever I needed an increase in my pump. Staff is helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Would highly recommend Dr Nair and his Staff!

I am very pleased with the improvement of my cervical and low back pain since Dr. Nair put in my pain pump implant. My name is Dawn. My pain for the first time in years managed. I tylically spend 2 to 3 weeks a year in bed unable to function. Aince i have been treated for my neck and back, i have not been off work except for dr. Appointments. I feel like a whole new peraon. He is still working on issues with my neck and shoulders. The ONLY drawbacks I have had with this amazing group is very long wait times (1st appointment over 3 hours, next 2 hours 15 min, last/third was a little better at just over 2 hours.
Other than long wait periods, I cannot express how satisfied and happy I am.with my initial appointment to where I am.now and my treatment plan going forward. Dr. Nair and his Nurse are absolutely amazing! I look forward to reaping the benefits of after a decade of searching, to finally getting the care I need and deserve.

I really love the staff always so accommodating and really work with me anytime I have a problem. I have been a patient of Dr. Nair's since 2016. He is by far one of the best physicians I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! I suffered major strokes in 2015 and as result have severe nerve damage and chronic pain in major parts of my body. Due to having zero veins I am not a candidate for the pain pump or stimulator. I came to see Dr. Nair in March 2020. I was sent to him because I suffered nerve damage in my left arm from a surgery I had 3 years ago. I’ve been in none stop pain since. The first thing he said to me was, “I can’t believe these other doctors let you suffer for so long!”. From day 1 he had a treatment plan for me. He knew I would benefit from a stimulator. Unfortunately, COVID-19 hit and that did slow things down through no fault of his own. After things opened back up I was able to get my trial and the affects were immediate! I noticed a HUGE difference in those 3 days! After it was taken out, I couldn’t wait to get the permanent one in! My insurance has been the one to hold up my procedure, but Dr. Nair personally called me to reassure me that he is working on it! Until that time he is doing what he can to keep me comfortable which I really appreciate. I’m so excited to get my stimulator and to keep working with this great doctor to get my life back to normal. Dr. Nair has been my pain management physician since 2017 and he has always been available for me when I require a pump increase in between my regular appointments.

I would say if you need to find a way to leave your pain but without going through surgery or I want someone to tell you what they can do for you straight no sugarcoating it you don't want a doctor to baby you you want a doctor to tell you how it is then he's the man you looking for. Dr. Nair, his office staff and surgical staff are AWESOME and AMAZING!! I have been dealing with pain since 1997 and after 2 spinal fusions the pain improved but a whole set of problems and pains started. Dr. Nair suggested the pain pump. I had Medtronic pump install in 2018 and a year later the pump was recalled. They gave me many opportunities and I decided to go with a new pump. I had surgery Wednesday and so far so good. I want to THANK Dr. Nair and his group for everything.
DR. NAIR is professional and extremely knowledgeable. His expertise is in Pain Management, and he concentrates on finding a solution to your pain. This includes exploring where the pain is coming from. My quality of life has improved greatly since changing Doctor offices. He offers a wide variety of treatment options. I had a total knee replacement in July 2022 and started having pain around my knee. I had an injection and it still didn’t help. My doctor said a nerve ablation might help, so I contacted Dr Nair and he got started on the ablation. I had this done 2weeks ago and I am 100% free of pain. I would recommend this to any one out there that is having nerve pain. Finally I am able to walk without pain
I met Dr. Nair 9 years ago. I had been to other doctors and had been on various narcotics to a pretty strong degree- and I still hurt.
I chose to have Dr. Nair place a Medtronic pain pump with the bolus PTM. My pain is much improved and I am off all other narcotics. Dr. Nair is very knowledgeable in medicine as a whole. I suffer from a rare connective tissue disease and he knew what it was; he was also the first doctor to suggest my blood pressure was adrenal related. He is always there with an encouraging word. I appreciate him for keeping me mobile, available for my family, and basically giving me my life back.

I have been going to Dr. NAIR for almost 16 months. Has always been great service. I was under another Doctor for over 16 years, only to be in pain for that amount of time. First time I saw Dr. NAIR, he asked me if I wanted to treat the pain or get rid of it. I said get rid of it. And that is what he did. I have never felt so good in the last 20 years. He is by for the best Docter I have ever had. To show how compassionate he is, my wife had a stoke in Sept. 2018 . I had an appointment for a pump refill. I called his office, explained the problem, got there early and was rushed in and out so I could get back to the University Hospital where my wife was. Dr. Nair did a great job explaining what was wrong in my neck and why I was in such pain. He recommended a cervical epidural based on the other things I had already tried. The 1st cervical epidural helped relieve my pain immensely with the first 48 hours following the procedure. I am pleased with the outcome. Hopefully I will continue to feel better.
I have been a patient here for over 3 years. I had seen several pain management doctors before Dr. Nair. I wished I had started here. I was in a severe car accident leaving me in debilitating pain. He started me on pills and epidurals...finally got approval from Passport for a pain pump. The pump from Medtronic is WONDERFUL!!! I'm off all the pills, it delivers a very low dose of medication straight into my spinal system, and it has let me start to be more independent than I have been in years. When I over do it, I have a button for break through pain. Which quickly gets my pain back under control.
I trust him so much that I am now bringing my teenage daughter to him for treatment of chronic migraines from Chairai Malformation. He's listened to her life story just by having a great bedside manner. After meeting her and talking to her, he offered to bring her on. I hope she gets the same great relief I have.

2015 I fell from a fire engine landing on my feet during a live fire training event. I ruptured every disc from L2 down amongst other spinal injuries and nerve damage. Of course physical therapy and epidural injections were tried. I had appointments with Neuro surgeons, physical therapy doctors and hefty regiment of medications. I was sent to a orthopedic surgeon who ordered a Mylogram that showed the damage was as bad as it gets without being paralyzed. The Orthopedic Doctor advised against fusion. So I asked my pain management doctor if I would be a candidate for a spinal stimulator. He recommended Doctor Nair, my first visit with Doc Nair was outstanding. He took the time to explain everything, he answered every question my wife and I had. He looked me in the eyes and told me not to worry that I wouldn't have to live with pain the rest of my life as well as being unable to do the profession I love so much. I had my staples removed today from my spinal stimulator placement. I love this device, it has taken away 65% of my pain away. Thank you Dr. Nair! His office staff are outstanding and Dr. Nair uses Medtronic devices. I cannot say enough about the medtronic representatives. If you're looking for a Doctor that actually cares about his patients this is the one you want.
When I first moved to Ky I was afraid I couldn’t get the pain management I was used to in Va, well Dr Nair is the best pain management Dr I have had. When he told me I needed a pain medication infusion pump I was all for it because I was tired of the morphine pills and oxycodone and the looks you get. The pain medication pump works great and is way better than pills that have so many side effects. Thank you Kentuckiana Pain Specialists!
I don't understand some of these negative reviews. I went to Dr Nair today and both he and his staff are very professional and very caring . dr.Nair is a good man and a very caring doctor. I can not thank Dr. Nair enough for the wonderful care kindness he shows me every visit. I travel from Florida for my care, I was unable to find a doctor who cares about his patients the way he does. The staff at the office are so good and helpful it is the best place to find the help you need.
Saw Dr Nair about a spinal cord stimulator a few months ago. I'm just over a month in with this device now and it is a life changer. None of this would have been possible without his help and his awesome staff, who were there to help at every step of the way. I really don't know where to start from i had been to a few different clinic for my pain and they all just wanted to just give me pills after pills and shot after shot that really wasn't helping me sure the pills helped but i didn't want to be stuck taking pain pills for the rest of my life. After 13 years of these horrible post craniotomy headaches, I have found a pain specialist who finally listened to me! I had multiple pages of my medical history for him and he took the time to read them. He then prescribed me a compound of ketamine and gabapentine cream to rub on my supraorbital nerve. It took a few weeks but my headaches have vanished! No pills, injections, or ablations needed!
I have been to countless physicians over the years in the neuro and pain fields but none of them have helped as much as my new pain specialist in just one visit! This has been a major relief for me and my family. I pray that someone else out there who suffers from post craniotomy headaches will read this and speak to their doctor about what success I had and be able to try it.

Dr. Ajith Nair is the best surgeon for pain that I have ever experienced!
I was a victim of a botched Hysterectomy. The doctor left a sucture in my pudendal nerve. (The motor sensory nerve). When other physcians gave up on me, I was left devastated, disgusted and debilitated. I was blocked by Army surgeons who made decisions on my behalf not to go forward to address the pain in my body. I could barely walk. I could barely stand up without pain rivoting through my entire body.
Dr. Ajith Nair took the time to listen and address each issue as He determined the best course of action. He prescribed solutions and now I am able to monitor and control my pain.

I had been in constant pain for years. Seeing doctor after doctor with no explanation or help except pain pills. I was totally depressed and felt hopeless. I saw Dr Nair and he recommended the pain pump. It changed my life. I don’t know what relief other people get, but being on the pain pump took my constant 10 pain to a much more manageable level. This was one of my better visits. I was seen quickly by Megan for a pump refill she was as always very friendly and made me feel very comfortable as usual. Before coming to Kentuckiana Pain Specialist I had a spinal stimulator implanted in my back for chronic lower back pain. This was done by my pain management doctor and Orthopedic doctor. Pain in other areas began to appear. I went to the doctor that placed the stimulator many times and he could not figure out what was causing the pain in my back. What he constantly insisted on doing was taking the stimulator out, not certain that my original pain would not come back along with my current pain. I asked my PCP to get me a referral to a doctor out of town and she sent me to see Dr Nair. During the very first visit, Dr Nair found what the problem was and treated it right then and I finally found relief.
I drive three and a half hours, sometimes twice a month, to see Dr. Nair and his team. I had all my records transferred from Paducah KY to his office and will never go any place else again. Dr. Nair and his staff show the utmost professionalism, courtesy and personal care I have ever seen.
Choosing to come to Kentuckiana Pain Specialists will be the best decision of your life. For me, it is well worth the three and a half hour drive to his office as many times as it takes!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Nair's for nearly two years and from the beginning I was impressed with how caring and dedicated he was. He is an exceptional and knowledgeable doctor and he and his staff have treated me with nothing but respect and empathy. After suffering with daily migraines for five years I didn't think there was any hope for me. Dr. Nair believed me when I told him my history and was aggressive in trying to relieve the pain. He was a savior to me! Unfortunately, after a while the pain medication quit working, but he didn't give up on me. Dr. Nair suggested the implantable pain pump as the next step in the treatment of my pain. I had the pump implanted last month and I can't tell you what a difference it's made in my quality of life. I went from having severe migraines on nearly a daily basis to almost no pain at all. I truly recommend this treatment for anyone who is experiencing pain like this. Never in my life did I dream there was a Doctor like this in this world. But I was blessed and got into to see Dr. Nair. I had been taking so many pain pills for so long and Could not even sleep in my bed for the last 7 or 8 years. I would wake up really crying from the pain and it would take me about 15 minutes to even get out of bed and get to my pills, and of course then it took time for them to work. When Dr. Nair first showed me the pain pump it scared me to death. He sat me down and told me all about it and sent me home with information about this pump. Well after I went over the papers I got excited. I could wake up without crying because this was going to be giving me medicine 24/7. I would no longer have to suffer just waiting for those pills to get into my system. I bugged poor Dr. Nair to death because my insurance. Seemed like it took my insurance such a long time but finally on July 3rd I got my pain pump!!!!! All I can tell anyone out here looking for a really wonderful Doctor that takes the time to listen to your needs this is the one. Plus on top of everything else if you are like I was and living in so much pain, there really is help right here with Dr. Nair and his Staff. There is a sign that hangs in the office that says H O P E it stands for "
Hang On Pain Ends" I am so glad I got my pain pump. We are still working on how much medicine I need but I drive 100 to get to the office so it is slower for me but the pain is getting better all of the time. My Name is Tenah and I got very lucky when I walked in his office 12 years ago! I have a Neuro Auto Immune Disorder called Crps. I didnt know how that visit would forever change my life. As i get worse Dr Nair finds new ways to help me with this relentless very painful conditon I have! He stays on the cutting edge of new technologies out there. Brings them to his office. He never stops learning different ways to help his patients.
Dr Nair is compassionate, caring and truly gets to know his pations. I volunter for a non profit org that helps people with different pain conditions, and I have referred people to Dr Nair and I always get a call thanking me! . I have been told from many I've not had a doctor to actually listen to what I'm having trouble with , but he did!
Dr Nair actually took time out of his day and had his SCS reps come they volunteered timed ,and he actually paid for a seminar I had for organization! There were people from all over Kentucky and Indiana came to listen to what the non profit is and what we do to help people and Dr Nair spoke to each person there it was a great success! Its things like that what makes Dr.Nair a great doctor.
Also in May of 2015 Derby weekend my oldest son was killed in a car accident. Dr Nair called me and left a very comforting message which I still have and cherish . Once again his amazing compassion. Then the visit I had to go to just a few weeks later, he sat and talked with me a good while! Dalton was a Organ Donar Picture whos still hangs in the office to this day!!!

12 years ago I met Dr. Nair and my life was changed forever - for the better. I was bed bound and in a wheelchair. He determined that by implanting a pain pump I would get off the boat load of pain medication I was taking daily and have a better quality of life.
First, it was a relief not having to worry about always carrying pain medicine and having people steal it or beg to borrow some! As we worked together and found the the right dose of medication I was able to do more and more.
I I started volunteering at church as an interpreter for the deaf and found so much joy in the ability to help others, but more importantly, I was able to be active in the lives of my children again - no longer parenting from bed!
I began volunteering at the high school and continued to work there after my boys graduated. I had a purpose in my life and was helping make a difference in the lives of the students I worked with.
I stopped volunteering a year ago because I had some health issues and had gained a lot of weight which in turn put more stress on my body and increased my pain level. Again, Dr. Nair was proactive in finding solutions to improve my life by getting my pain under control.
I want to express my thanks to him because he never nagged me about my weight, but when I chose to start losing weight he is in my corner cheering me onwards. Together, we decided it was the right time for me to get a different pain pump that will give me optimal pain relief. Seven days ago I got my new pump and are on track to finding the right level of medication for me to be able to start exercising.
I feel like I have entered a new place in my life where I have so many choices. Instead of giving up and giving in to the pain, I know WExactly (Dr. Nair and I ) will get me to the place where I am living my life making a difference not just letting life happen to me.

I am a 23 year veteran of Fire/Ems, on November 30, 2015 I fell from a fire engine landing on my feet during a live fire training event. I ruptured every disc from L2 down amongst other spinal injuries and nerve damage. Ofcourse physical therapy and epidural injections were tried. I had appointments with Neuro surgeons, physical therapy doctors and hefty regiment of medications. I was sent to a orthopedic surgeon who ordered a Mylogram that showed the damage was as bad as it gets without being paralyzed. The Orthopedic Doctor advised against fusion. So I asked my pain management doctor if I would be a candidate for a spinal stimulator. He recommended Doctor Nair, my first visit with Doc Nair was outstanding. He took the time to explain everything, he answered every question my wife and I had. He looked me in the eyes and told me not to worry that I wouldn't have to live with pain the rest of my life as well as being unable to do the profession I love so much. I had my staples removed today from my spinal stimulator placement. I love this device, it has taken away 65% of my pain away. Thank you Dr. Nair! His office staff are outstanding and Dr. Nair uses Medtronic devices. I cannot say enough about the medtronic representatives. If you're looking for a Doctor that actually cares about his patients this is the one you want.

I had a serious car wreck in 2007 that severely injured my back. After going to several doctors who only wanted to do several surgeries. One doctor referred me to Dr. Nair and he has been treating me ever since with patience and a caring heart. He is always keeping with up-to-date treatments. His staff is caring as well. He not only cares about your physical well-being but also your mental. One of my favorites doctors.

I was a meatcutter and injured my right arm in a meat grinder I suffer extreme pain in my right arm and upper my upper right extremity I have been seeing Dr Nair for 7 years he is a very patient Dr. and listens to my concerns and has treated the pain in my arm and extremity with medication and pain epidurals he recommended a pain stimulator and I had the stimulator surgically implanted it has really helped the pain in my arm and I thank Dr. Nair and I would strongly recommend him to any person whose life is limited because of Pain Thank you Dr Nair Robert Macy

After having major back issues for 15+ years, a failed spinal fusion, numerous epidurals, ridiculous amounts of pain medications and many other failed treatments I had lost hope of ever being able to live any resemblance of a normal life. I started seeing Dr. Nair less than a year ago and had a pain pump implanted this week. I have to give thanks and praise to Dr. Nair, my trial pump period was the most pain free I have ever been. It allowed me to interact with my family again and to enjoy life which is something I have not done in a long time. Dr. Nair and his staff have been very helpful and considerate in getting me the maximum amount of pain relief available while still allowing me to function daily. Dr. Nair is a very compassionate and caring doctor who has personally called to check on me and I would recommend him to anyone with chronic pain.

I have been seeing Dr. Nair 9 yrs I first saw him as a broken person both physically and emotionally. I had been over medicated and suffering all related side effects and still in chronic pain.
Dr.Nair introduced new procedures, with compassion and the goal of a better quality of life. He is more than simply a "pain manager/meds prescribing" Doctor. I fully believe in him and his staff. My opinion is that his treatment of chronic pain, and the reduction of side effects works but also weeds out "drug seakers" that have made it so hard for those of us truly Suffering with chronic pain, acute pain, injuries and degenerative conditions. I only wish I had the care he and his staff provide 5 yrs prior!
Dr. Nair showed me great compassion and used his expertize to help me have a much much better QUALITY OF LIFE.
The state of our country's insurance failure's are obviously not his fault ,in fact he has always gone the extra mile to work thruu the obstacles that inevitability come up.

Dr. Nair and his staff have been very kind and caring. I have been experiencing chronic pain for the past five years. I'm currently going through a pain pump trial to assess whether I will be a good candidate for a permanently implanted pain pump. For the first time in five years I can honestly say that I am pain-free! Dr. Nair has been very compassionate and caring as he answers the multitude of questions that I ask him. He even personally called me during the long Labor Day weekend to assess how I was tolerating the pain pump trial. Kudos to you Dr. Nair!

I just wanted to say how wonderful Dr. Nair and his staff are. Maybe the ones with the negative comments are ones that are looking for a pill doc instead of a pain doc. I have been going to Dr. Nair since 2003 and he has literally saved my life. I was in such severe pain that I tried to take my life. I went to a pain clinic in Lexington that actually caused more damage than what I was dealing with in the first place. I had my first neurostimulator in 2003. I was working great when I was in a head on collision that migrated the leads. After a couple of lead revisions I had another stimulator put in. Due to scar tissue it was not very effective. In 2008 I had a pain pump put in and it has made such a difference. I am still in pain, but I can function so much better than before. Dr Nair has always put me and my medical needs first. Yes, he is a doctor and yes, he makes money from his patients. Would any of us go to work for free each day? As long as he is in business, he has mine.

I recommend Dr.Nair to anyone considering a great doctor. He is a caring doctor, and I can't say the same about the many other doctors I have came across during my lifetime. Also, he has a degree from Harvard and other medical degrees from other colleges and I have yet to say to see any other doctors in Louisville who can say the same. He has several ways to help his patients. Everyone I have talked to while waitng to be seen loves him.

I have been dealing with chronic back pain for years & had multiple medical procedures since 2011. I'm now 6 days post-op following Dr Nair pain pump implant & feeling great. I was hesitant about getting the Medtronic device installed in my body but am extremely happy I did. Dr Nair & Brian (Medtronic support nurse/tech) have been extremely helpful addressing all of my questions.

I have been a patient with Dr. Ajith Nair Neurosurgeon for a few months now and I am pleased to be his patient. Dr. Nair is a very thoughtful compassionate doctor who listened to all my symptoms and comments about my conditions and did major examinations and my only option was to remove the pain pump I now have and replace it with a new one.
Dr. Nair is a great doctor and friend.

9 yrs ago, I went to Dr.Nair when I moved here from out of state. I was in unbearable pain, severely depressed, suffering the side effect of over medicating I had recieved prior. He could have easily snubbed & misjudged me as other doctors had. BUT HE DIDN'T !! He listened to my entire story. He helped me, no, he SAVED MY LIFE. He introduced treatment that I had never been offered. I eventually got my mobility & dignity back without over medication. He truly strives for a better quality of life?

"After 13 years of these horrible post craniotomy headaches, I have found a pain specialist who finally listened to me! Few doctors, like Dr.Nair, have attended 5 tough universities also maintaining 26 years of experience. I'm guessing he's treated double of the amount of patients atleast than the average doctor in Kentucky. We are lucky he is here to assist those desperately needing help, and I would rather see a nice, helpful, intelligent,and compassionate doctor like him through tough times rather than someone just beginning their practice graduating from a far more unchalling medical college(s).

If you're going to a doctor for pain management that is uncontrollable without a helping hand from a doctor, who is truly concerned about how you're feeling, I would highly recommend Dr. Nair. He will listen to you as you explain to him where your pain is ,and, anything that accompanies the pain, such as shooting. dull or numbing pain. There are several different types of pain. So when you go for a visit, make sure you have your notes to explain your pain.

It’s hard to put into words just how much Dr. Nair and his entire staff have changed my life for the better. When I first walked into Kentuckiana Pain Specialist I hardly had a life due to the extreme amounts of pain I experienced daily. The pain made simple things such as going to the grocery store or taking my children to the park unbearable. I have been under the care of Dr. Nair and his staff for about a year now and can say without a doubt that they have improved my quality of life along with that of my entire family. I'd been suffering with sciatica that made even sitting unbearable. A friend recommended Kentuckiana pain specialists. Dr. Nair diagnosed the issue quickly and performed an epidural injection under live X-ray guidance. Within days the shooting pain was gone. He explained the risks, benefits, and follow-up plan clearly. I wish I'd found him sooner.

I am thankful for the treatment I received from the staff and Dr. Nair, who both have treated me with respect. I was in chronic pain when I first started seeing Dr. Nair. Furthermore, I didn't want a band-aid, but instead a solution. Dr. Nair was informative and helpful. He and his staff spent time ensuring I understood. He included my daughter at my request when I was unsure about my treatment options. Dr. Nair presented my options. My pain is manageable and has decreased to the point of having my life back the majority of the time.
I have had this pain pump, my second one for about 5 years. Since I received my first pain pump my quality of life has improved dramatically. Before my pain pump I would be a a 10 on a 1-10 pain scale, by noon every day at the latest. I was very depressed and overweight because of the lack of exercise, sleep and stress. Since my first I have lost almost 100 pounds, I am now doing almost everything I used to do before chronic pain became a part of my life. I am able to have a social life again, enjoy my Grandson, enjoy gardening and am not depressed anymore. When this pump needs replacing I will do it again. I have to have the pump filled with medication about every 5 weeks. I am usually in and out of the office in less than one hour for the fill. All the staff are usually helpful to deal with, especially Megan. I have had some issues with billing over the 10 plus years I have been a patient, but they have been worked out.
My name is Tenah I have CRPS since 2001. I was so lucky to have got an apt with Dr Nair! When I walked though his office door on November 2005 I couldn't believe how he truly listened to my issues and concerns of what was to come! I was truly scared! His feedback was amazing! On tht day he got his office to precertification for a procedure! Which was done the next week he did an ablation on my Si joint, and injections for my bursitis! I was in horrible shape and if not for his caring ways I don't know I could handle the pain I am in! I love my pump which helps soo much with the pain.
I work with a non profit Ipain,org. Dr Nair help and funded along with his scs team a seminar which included people from all of Kentucky and some people in Indiana! I was a great success! He helps me every year because it Nation Pain Month! In May of 2015 my son was killed in a car accident, the message Dr Nair left my again shows he cares for his patient and the compassion! I still have that cherished recorded message. Dr. Nair is actually a very attentive and capable doctor in my opinion. However, his practice management and staff activities are beyond belief. He is an appropriate choice if you have time every day of every week to call in and manage the staff through their normal duties in tracking, managing, and reacting to insurance, authorization, scheduling of next appointments/procedures, and the like. I cannot recommend this practice - very good doctor, but the time cost to a patient of managing his practice/staff is just too much. Creates new pain.

On my very first visit to Kentuckiana Pain Specialists. Dr.Nair sat down and listened to my questions and concerns. He examined me and my medical records, then came up with a treatment plan. I really love the staff always so accommodating and really work with me anytime I have a problem. I have been going to Dr. NAIR for almost 16 months. Has always been great service. I was under another Doctor for over 16 years, only to be in pain for that amount of time. First time I saw Dr. NAIR, he asked me if I wanted to treat the pain or get rid of it. I said get rid of it. And that is what he did. I have never felt so good in the last 20 years. He is by for the best Docter I have ever had. To show how compassionate he is, my wife had a stoke in Sept. 2018 . I had an appointment for a pump refill. I called his office, explained the problem, got there early and was rushed in and out so I could get back to the University Hospital where my wife was. I love the man and his staff and can,t say enough good things about them . I am a retired MSGT from the Air Force and would recommend that any Veteran with pain problems go to him before the V.A.

I met Dr. Nair 9 years ago. I had been to other doctors and had been on various narcotics to a pretty strong degree- and I still hurt.
I chose to have Dr. Nair place a Medtronic pain pump with the bolus PTM. My pain is much improved and I am off all other narcotics. Dr. Nair is very knowledgeable in medicine as a whole. I suffer from a rare connective tissue disease and he knew what it was; he was also the first doctor to suggest my blood pressure was adrenal related. He is always there with an encouraging word. I appreciate him for keeping me mobile, available for my family, and basically giving me my life back.

Was little upset that I couldn't do a drug screening while I was there for pump refill but then had to go back 5 days later for mandatory evaluation that really was my drug screening and I have been playing around with edibles and told them when I was asked so hopefully he'll understand that bc I can get them at store I really love the staff and dr, thought maybe it was to decide if I'll go with pump again bc it's almost time for us to decide to keep it or if another route would be better just ain't trying to make special trips for drug screening when my car isn't the best and I'm struggling to make it financially

I had a total knee replacement in July 2022 and started having pain around my knee. I had an injection and it still didn’t help. My doctor said a nerve ablation might help, so I contacted Dr Nair and he got started on the ablation. I had this done 2weeks ago and I am 100% free of pain. I would recommend this to any one out there that is having nerve pain. Finally I am able to walk without pain

I went for my consultation on Tuesday I was very satisfied. The office staff was very nice. The nurse Tracey was phenomenal! Dr Nair was very friendly and professional. He took time to explain my problem and what he recommends. I would highly recommend Kentucky Pain Specialist.

DR. NAIR is professional and extremely knowledgeable. His expertise is in Pain Management, and he concentrates on finding a solution to your pain. This includes exploring where the pain is coming from. My quality of life has improved greatly since changing Doctor offices. He offers a wide variety of treatment options. Thankfully he is able to provide the majority of options in his office or next door at the surgery center. My cost has decreased greatly as I dont have huge hospital copays. Dr. Nair cares about his patients and his bedside manner is excellent.

I really don't know where to start from i had been to a few different clinic for my pain and they all just wanted to just give me pills after pills and shot after shot that really wasn't helping me sure the pills helped but i didn't want to be stuck taking pain pills for the rest of my life. They weren't listening to me.so when i found Doctor Neir my hold life changed, i found the doctor that listen to what I had to say about my pain and we came up with the right solution to help me we decided to go with the pump after he seen that the shots weren't helping that I had already been through them and they still wasn't doing anything. My pump is the best, i have a life again and me personally i would tell the world to go see Dr.Neir if your really tired of hurting and want your life back he is most definitely the right doctor to see.Thank you doctor Neir

When I first moved to Ky I was afraid I couldn’t get the pain management I was used to in Va, well Dr Nair is the best pain management Dr I have had. When he told me I needed a pain medication infusion pump I was all for it because I was tired of the morphine pills and oxycodone and the looks you get. The pain medication pump works great and is way better than pills that have so many side effects. Thank you Kentuckiana Pain Specialists!

Its an amazing medical staff that does everything they can to take care u and ur medical issues and does everything they can do to help with ur pain. Very welcoming medical and helpful. I recommend this facility. Dr. Nair is great dr with great bedside manners. If you every have any problems they do their best. I love the treatment i receive from them.

I haven’t even began treatment yet, I had a consult last week and to say impressed is an understatement. Dr. Naïr sat and talked with me for over an hour. We discussed in detail my issue and talked about multiple options. Even his assistant sat and talked with me and showed genuine concern and care for me. I’m very excited to try the SCS and look forward to working with this group of people. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. 3 years and countless doctors not one was as caring and listened like these two did!

Saw Dr Nair about a spinal cord stimulator a few months ago. I'm just over a month in with this device now and it is a life changer. None of this would have been possible without his help and his awesome staff, who were there to help at every step of the way. I had a pain pump installed by Dr. Nair. March 22,2021. The Dr, surgical staff, nurses are wonderful. The front desk girl are top notch. Didnt wait but maybe a couple min before being seen for an office visitPost and pre op recovery were great. Love this group. It's a 2.5 hr drive (1 way) for us but definitely worth it if you want a dr that listens and answers all questions you may have.They are very professional, get you in quick, listen to concerns, very family like..unlike other dr offices. Highly recommended

I have been a patient of Dr. Nair's ever since the year after I suffered strokes. I have major chronic pain and nerve damage and due to his wonderful treatment plans I am able move about with less pain. He and his staff truly care about the patients I do believe. I came to see Dr. Nair in March 2020. I was sent to him because I suffered nerve damage in my left arm from a surgery I had 3 years ago. I’ve been in none stop pain since. The first thing he said to me was, “I can’t believe these other doctors let you suffer for so long!”. From day 1 he had a treatment plan for me. He knew I would benefit from a stimulator. Unfortunately, COVID-19 hit and that did slow things down through no fault of his own. After things opened back up I was able to get my trial and the affects were immediate! I noticed a HUGE difference in those 3 days! After it was taken out, I couldn’t wait to get the permanent one in! My insurance has been the one to hold up my procedure, but Dr. Nair personally called me to reassure me that he is working on it! Until that time he is doing what he can to keep me comfortable which I really appreciate. I’m so excited to get my stimulator and to keep working with this great doctor to get my life back to normal. Thank you Dr. Nair for continuing to help and advocate for me!

My Name is Tenah and I got very lucky when I walked in his office 12 years ago! I have a Neuro Auto Immune Disorder called Crps. I didnt know how that visit would forever change my life. As i get worse Dr Nair finds new ways to help me with this relentless very painful conditon I have! He stays on the cutting edge of new technologies out there. Brings them to his office. He never stops learning different ways to help his patients. Dr Nair is compassionate, caring and truly gets to know his pations. I volunter for a non profit org that helps people with different pain conditions, and I have referred people to Dr Nair and I always get a call thanking me! . I have been told from many I've not had a doctor to actually listen to what I'm having trouble with , but he did! Dr Nair actually took time out of his day and had his SCS reps come they volunteered timed ,and he actually paid for a seminar I had for organization! There were people from all over Kentucky and Indiana came to listen to what the non profit is and what we do to help people and Dr Nair spoke to each person there it was a great success! Its things like that what makes Dr.Nair a great doctor. Also in May of 2015 Derby weekend my oldest son was killed in a car accident. Dr Nair called me and left a very comforting message which I still have and cherish . Once again his amazing compassion. Then the visit I had to go to just a few weeks later, he sat and talked with me a good while! Dalton was a Organ Donar Picture whos still hangs in the office to this day!!! DR Nair every November helps me with Nation PAIN Month! I leave my cards,brochures, and books to share with his other patients!!! NOW TELL ME ANITHER DR THAT WOULD LET ME DO THAT????? 12 years ago I met Dr. Nair and my life was changed forever - for the better. I was bed bound and in a wheelchair. He determined that by implanting a pain pump I would get off the boat load of pain medication I was taking daily and have a better quality of life. First, it was a relief not having to worry about always carrying pain medicine and having people steal it or beg to borrow some! As we worked together and found the the right dose of medication I was able to do more and more. I I started volunteering at church as an interpreter for the deaf and found so much joy in the ability to help others, but more importantly, I was able to be active in the lives of my children again - no longer parenting from bed! I began volunteering at the high school and continued to work there after my boys graduated. I had a purpose in my life and was helping make a difference in the lives of the students I worked with. I stopped volunteering a year ago because I had some health issues and had gained a lot of weight which in turn put more stress on my body and increased my pain level. Again, Dr. Nair was proactive in finding solutions to improve my life by getting my pain under control. I want to express my thanks to him because he never nagged me about my weight, but when I chose to start losing weight he is in my corner cheering me onwards. Together, we decided it was the right time for me to get a different pain pump that will give me optimal pain relief. Seven days ago I got my new pump and are on track to finding the right level of medication for me to be able to start exercising. I feel like I have entered a new place in my life where I have so many choices. Instead of giving up and giving in to the pain, I know WExactly (Dr. Nair and I ) will get me to the place where I am living my life making a difference not just letting life happen to me. With Dr. Nair's help, you to can start living your life.
